Reduced postal parcels delivery deadlines

Dear costumer,

As informed earlier in our release #65, as of November 9, 2020, 298 segments on the SEDEX main commercial routes have had their officially extended deadlines reduced to D+1 and D+2, as set out in our Prices and and Deadline Calculator System (SCPP).

Besides this, with a view to steadily improving the performance of the postal service, Correios has cancelled as of November 16, 2020 such deadlines extensions which usually ended up bringing about increases of 1 up to 11 additional days to the customary delivery deadlines. This measure came into force regarding 11,196 zip code prefix zones serviced by the postal service.

We want stress that Correios, despite having extended delivery deadlines since October, 2020 due to the Covid 19 pandemic, has fully succeeded in maintaining sustented excellence and achieving very high performance levels, thus reaching a 98,38% delivery effectiveness mark within the scheduled delivery timeframe.

Lastly, we inform that during the Black Friday 2020 sales events and Christmas season that are expected to heat up the market, there will be no alteration to the delivery deadlines – except in a fortuitous event or case of force majeure –, so as to enable our customers to be totally focused on building effective sales strategies, while Correios is taking charge of the product delivery process.

For further information, please contact your commercial representative in order to get abreast of the zip-code prefix zones having had their deadline extension cancelled.
